Just wondering what exactly the 9v (rated at 7w max) output jack on the rear of the AVC for?

Since I'm not exacty sure what it's for, here's an idea I've dreamt up :suicide:

I've been planning on improving the air flow through my TV cabinet to aid cooling (the AVC box gets pretty hot). Would it be alright to use an old PC fan (12v/2w) I have lying around; chop off the molex plug, solder on a DC plug, connect it to the 9v jack and mount it in the back of the cabinet to pull some of the heat out (the fan runs silent at 5v, no idea what it's like at 9v  ).

Probably the same as the 9v DC jack on the back of my 32GA4E...

...but if you're after an "exact" purpose then whichever religious figurehead you personally go for may well know as I haven't a ruddy clue.

YAY! This is what we like - an enterprising spirit...

Should be OK - Personally I wish it had been a 12v output as I was hoping to use it for charging my Prontos from. :p

I was going to use mine for LED lighting of the cabinet.
