What's new on Amazon Prime Video UK for January 2021 - news discussion

" One Night in Miami " looks interesting, I'll give that a go.
Apart from that not much of interest - I bailed on American Gods during season two but might give it another go.

Wow - that's about as exciting as an overdose of Ovaltine.
I hope Santa brings some decent blu-rays otherwise I may have to resort to talking to the missus.

Looking forward to American Gods - enjoyed the first 2 series

Thanks Andy. One Night in Miami is definitely a watcher for me!

American God's.......👍

Google says "Flack" is a drama about a take-no-prisoner public-relations professional named Robyn who is an American working for a London based firm. Robyn is unflappable in her PR job and her ability to get her high-profile very wayward ill-behaved celebrity clients out of potentially embarrassing situations is unparalleled. However, her ability to get her clients out of these messes does not translate into her own life as Robyn tries to get her own life back on track while juggling her job.

Already renewed for a second season apparently.

The Jazz documentary is the Ken Burns one I believe, he's known for high quality work, indeed Jazz won him an Emmy. Be warned it is long though - 10 episodes and some are 2 hours long!

Hi Crafty, I did see this (and several others like it) but it seems to be a list of upcoming movies and shows for Amazon Prime in the US and while we may get some of the content listed, I want to keep the article UK specific.

American Gods S3. Yes!

Mind, I'm gagging for a new season of Goliath...

'LET HIM GO' - the acclaimed film starring DIANE LANE and KEVIN COSTNER has just come on AMAZON PRIME at £5.99.

It will becoming available in 4K in January sometime I believe.

It was too late for your December list... so thought you could add it here as Cas was a fan (as is most who see this great movie) and the bulk of it's release will be in January (due to Covid).
Thank you.

Hi Andy, sorry I should have said I didn't know how accurate the list was, didn't mean to deride the article, I always look for the "whats new.." in each platform as they all seem to be bad in forming us whats coming., keep up the good work 👍

Looks like the BBC and ITV could give Amazon a run for their money based on that line up.
I cant see how Amazon can compete with BBC and ITV etc what with, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire : The Million Pound Question, Catchiest Catchphrase, Tipping Point Best Finalist, Top 10 Chocolate Bars etc plus Supermarket Sweep with the mouth full of white teeth. Goggle-box 2020.:D

Only a few in that I be interested in but for anyone who likes the old fashion cowboys The Sons Of Katie Elder think that's a cracker.

Herself and One Night In Miami for me. Just one thing - where's the much anticipated A Sound Of Metal? Thought it was confirmed for January?

That list sounds like my old --- and I do mean old --- DVD collection which I signed up to Amazon to get away from. Nothing to get excited about, more's the pity. You can catch most of those well-worn 'classics' on regular non-subscription television.

And the bargain bin at your local petrol station.

I think you mean your VHS video cassette collection, I doubt most of those movies ever made it to DVD.

It's like they said in the Podcast yesterday - been anyway a bad year for Movies, but TV has been strong. That is what I look to on Prime.
