As many seem to finally have their DVE's, could somebody please clarify me the changes from VE?

I know it can now also be bought as a PAL version and has support for 6.1 sound. VE website also tells it has some sort of support for solid state displays (being LCD, DLP and plasma I suppose). That's about all the info I found on the VE site and by searching this site.

So, what's new and what's changed from VE (which I have)? Is the browsing as notoriously clumsy as it was?

    Cheers and merry Christmas!

Erm.... sorry.... but what are you talking about?

Just in case it's blindingly obvious, I hold in defence the fact that I was drinking heavily last night  :zonked:

Isn't it obvious? I'm still trying to get answers to the original question I posted half a year ago.

Oh, sorry. VE = Video Essentials, DVE = Digital Video Essentials. They're video & audio calibration DVD's and the DVE is the newer and supposedly improved one.

Ahhhh... now I'm getting you :D

I'll leave it for others who actually own it to answer for you but you could try asking for feedback on it in the DVE Power Buy's thread here:- http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129998

There also might be a bit of talk on it in the Projector sections of the forums if you try doing a search...

Hope this helps a bit, and sorry for the confusion.

    Regards,
    Iain.
