Not sure what all this fuss about Pogressive scan is about, so, I hope some of you fine folk can help!

I know as much, I think, that it is intended to extract an even better picture from a DVD.

Is it just for projectors? I have a Sony 32DX100 TV (normal CRT) and wondered if this is any use to me or would I have to change to something else.

    Help!

It's a long and relatively complex thing to describe in one post. I suggest going to
www.progressivescan.co.uk and having a quick read..

    Gordon

P.S. You will not be able to benefit from a good progressive source with your CURRENT TV

Which image are you refering to?

As a matter of fact, the only image that has been manipulated, or had an effect simulated is the very last one of a Windows screen capture; there to try and demonstrate the need for verticle filtering for interlaced displays.
