I've still got my Philips BDE353 D2MAC decoder.

    Is it any good?
    Has D2MAC totally ceased transmitting?

It would be nice to pass it on to someone.

    Sky analogue used videocrypt.

D2MAC was used extensively by the scandanavian channels on Thor and Sirius but I believe that most if not all have now closed down and gone digital using conax encryption.

I dont think the decoder can be used for anything else so it looks like the only thing you can do is bin it.

Isn't the march of technology and obsolecence wonderful.

    Thanks for the reply.

I emailed Wotsat and had a prompt reply. Basically its dead. Quote "...your D2-Mac gear is now useless."

My kit is just spare parts now.

Still, at least I've got a spare plug!

You can still get live Champions League Football on the Scandanavian TV3's at 1deg. west.
