I'm finally ready to leave my trusty 32" CRT behind. I've decided that Plasma rather than LCD is the choice for me, and the constraints of my room means 37" has to be my limit size wise.

Can you experts give me some input as to a shortlist for checking out? I will use the screen for DVD & Freeview only. Set sound quality isn't important as it will be piped through my Denon/Kef system.

Cheers
John

What would be your viewing distance from a plasma screen in your room???

Sorry for the delayed reply - been working away. :(

I will be sitting approx 2.5 metres from the screen. I have a strange narrow room.

I would urge you to mark out the sizes of the 37" and 42" screens and get tehm up on your wall. I did this and it sold my wife on the 42", as the panel only 42 (PHD8/PH9) is only marginally bigger than the 37" with it's wider surround and speakers (37PX60/PX600).

The answer to your question John is the 37PX60.

The PX60's are actually a few mm narrower than their equivalent panels...
