Ok done my research (i was being lazy and hungover), its a wireless controller for the gamecube.

1. does it work with the Wii?

2. is it any good?

3. where can i get one?

The only down side to the otherwise excellent wavebird is that there is no rumble feature :(

but you could use one to get you used to playing on a PS3 :p

So the original wired controller that came with Gamecube won't work on the Wii?
On the top of the Wii (or the left side, if you have it sat horizontally) are two flaps. One with four GameCube controller ports, and the other with two GameCube memory card slots, so yes, the wired controllers work perfectly. It's also where you plug in the receivers for the Wavebirds.
