Personally, I wouldn't recommend a secondhand one for that price. If the lamp fails, you'll end up having to spend another £250 to replace it. (What am I saying? I'm about to sell my Sharp NV4 - Doh!)

How about saving up the extra £100 or so and buying a new Epson TW10H?

I bought a Toshiba ET1 from www.oyyy.co.uk for 320+vat. Got it next day and it really is a nice bit of kit, has scart connection, s video even comonent and 2 small buit in speakers, although a meaty sound system is best. I got a 70 inch pulldown screen at the same time and a ceiling bracket and 10m cables and the whole setup was less than 500 quid, superb value and I think it looks excellent.
