what would you upgrade sony s715 to?

    anyone had/got a sony dvp s715?.......................if so could you recommend an upgrade please,preferably sony .also it would need to be as good or hopefully significantly better than my current player,

    I've got one!!!

    Currently AFAIK only Pioneer and Marantz make purchasable decks.

    Unless Sony add DVD-A I won't buy Sony, since I also want SACD I'm being pushed to Pioneer

    I had a 715 for a couple of years. Generally a great deck, and pretty good looking. It's a bit lacking on features now compared to new players though.

    I doubt you will EVER see the big S releasing a DVD-A player though, not unless SACD dies a huge death, and Sony has no choice (then it'll still be unlikely!)

    Looks like Pioneer 656 is the favourite
