Hello guys, thinking I might possibly upgrade my speakers in the next year depending on cash flow, the speakers are for both music/movies. Currently using Tannoy Mercury F4's with a Marantz SR6004 AVR and Wharfedale SW150 sub, if you were spending £300-400 in the second hand market, what would you be looking at and could I get an upgrade for this price? I don't need the upgrade as I still like my speakers, but had them for 3 years so thought it would be nice to have a change, plus would rather some black speakers...

The problem is the market for used is variable. What is available changes, and the prices can be equally variable. The best you can do is look on Ebay or other used sources include this forums own For Sale section, and see what you can find. As to what to buy, to some extent trust known and proven brands, but it is up to you to determine the trustworthiness of the seller, and the condition of the speakers.
