You'll see from the search for the Tosh that I had one at one point. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

    Hi

I had the Toshiba 32Z17 also, but it had to go back. Unfortunately, while the picture, especially through component with DVD, was admittedly fantastic it had a major flaw - watch a film in the dark and whenever there is a dark scene the sides of the picture get brighter - so the middle is black and the sides grey!

I can't imagine why the TV does this but it was very annoying to say the least!
