what watts can my eltax take ?

    still looking for an amp for my eltax ht2 speakers,looking at details for amp i see they give out the wattage.
    what is the maximum wattage can my speakers take ?

    It should say on the back of the speakers. It does on the back of my HT2 bipolars. I wouldnt take to much notice of it as you would hardly run close to the limits of the speakers most of the time. Just dont buy an amp with over 50% more power than the speakers are rated at and IMHO you should have no problems unless you plan to run them at very high volumes for a long time eg disco :D

    How much are you wanting to spean on the amp and what are you looking at?

    i'm looking to spend no more then £150.i'm thinking of buying either a sony str de485 or yamaha htr 5630.i've seen a sherwood rvd8090rds i've seen for sale.
    this will be my first amp,so its all very scary .
    my speakers can take up to 60w.so will 100 w be ok ?
