Could I connect speakers with the following specs into receiver giving out 65w per channel, or should the speakers be a higher wattage than the receiver? Could this damage the speakers?

    Satellites
    Power Handling: 60 watts
    Nominal Impedance: 8 ohms
    Frequency Response: 80-20000Hz

    Centre Channel
    Power Handling: 90 watts
    Nominal Impedance: 8 ohms
    Frequency Response: 80-20000Hz

I think that would be pretty safe.
The speakers are 8ohms and small, that means you don't need that much power.
But when you say 65watts, how are those measured?
4 or 8 ohm? How much THD?
Try it out, and if your amp gets very hot, you know what to do.;)
