i am thinking of getting another pw2200 while they are still available.

    would two work well together?
how easy are they to set up?
    would i be best getting a X20-30?
    how much is the above?
    would you bother?

excuse me what the hell does your opinion on my front speakers have to do with this thred, is this some sort of pay back to do with somthing i have said in the past regarding eltax being a budget speaker.
or is it a way of disrespecting me.
i was rather hospitable with you when you came to mine to buy the sub, and we even invited your poor 70 year old farther in law inside the house while you expected him to stay in the car,
i also find it rather anoying that while you were buying a sub of me for a very desent price, you decide to publicly comment on my front speakers,
Also how could you comment on my speakers when you spent 5 min on a music dvd and 5 min on the can can scene from moulin rouge(not the best scene in the world)
i find your comments neive, disrespectful, needless and hurtfull.
i hope i have taken this the wrong way, or that you seriously thought that i wouldnt be offended at you statment.
i wouldn't dream of commenting on others kit especialy somone who had been hospitabe to me.
and i can asure you i would not be changing my front speakers as i and many others find them to be very very good speakers.

    also
if this is somthing to do with my post above, you may be intersested to find out that i am already trying to get some pw2200 sent to av forum members at their local shops. ask Jit

hey dude, I didn't mean to offend...thats the last thing I wanted to do!
just, I can't imagine having an extra sub would make the sound improvements that you maybe after..?
but I don't think I'd better say anything else as you may take that the wrong way!

i think you would have to search far and wide to find someone that wouldn't be offended at a remark like that, people forget that a lot of this stuff is peoples pride and joy and they buy what the can afford and what suits them.
Also two subs doesn't just mean more bass,
you can get stronger, deeper more even sound balance. and two sub can fill a room more.
i think if you searched the forum and checked up on the other twin sub posts you would learn a bit about it and hopfully this will help you not to offend anyone else.
if anyone who is after a pw2200 can pm and tell me where they are i may be able to see if i can get one in their area.

    Hi Clancol
If you can hold of a PW2200 then get it.
If you don't like the improvements I'm sure someone on the forums would be glad to buy it.;)
I think that once it comes in it won't leave;)

x30 go for about £100 from RS
    Or pick up a Y-splitter from £5 to £30

go for it you know you want too :D

    Yes i would bother.
in fact i'm the look out for a second asw2500 and I only bought this one on Saturday, I keep thinking that if one sounds this good then two will be............

Difficult question as I am not sure that there is a right answer. If you can set up two subs correctly in their optimum positions it should improve the bass as many have already tried and succeeded.

It isn't always easy to integrate two subs though and it is conceivable that it could have the opposite effect of what you want.

There is an element of risk involved which can be reduced by selling the sub if the doubling up doesn't work.

    where would the position be.
below is where i have it now.
would the best place be directly opposite on the other side of the room

edit- what i mean is does it normaly help to place it at the same point on the otherside so that they are semetrical

I found that with my two servo 15's stacking gave the best results, but you really need to experiment.
