That would depend ,one either side of a big open fire place painted black with some well placed cannon balls.

Yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me.

We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot.
Drink up me 'earties yo ho!
We kidnap and pillage and don't give a hoot.
Drink up me 'earties yo ho!

Yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me.

We extort, we pilfer, we filch and sack.
Drink up me 'earties yo ho!
Maraud and embezzle and even hijack.
Drink up me 'earties yo ho!

Yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me.

We kindle and char and inflame and ignite.
Drink up me 'earties yo ho!
We burn up the city, we're really a fright.
Drink up me 'earties yo ho!
We're rascals, and scoundrels, and villains, and knaves.
Drink up me 'earties yo ho!
We're devils and black sheep and really bad eggs.
Drink up me 'earties yo ho!

Yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me.

    All together now.

It is a Transmission Line or Folded horn design, it is difficult to know unless you saw the insides.

Hard to design and build these style alignemnts unless you love lots of maths calcs.

But still butt ugly  I Jokingly asked my other half if she wanted one of these to attach to her Kenwood system and she refused me, strange that :rotfl: I did attach my MS309 to it and that worked nicely :D

I wonder if anyone will actually buy the 'fog horn' ?

Which will go a very long way in a design of that type. :)

£150!!! They were £300 11 years ago :smashin:

I bought an Awia sub instead for £150 to attach to my girlfriends portable tape deck.

In those days, the Kenwoods sound was quite impressive, but then I was young and impressionable!!!

I used to work for a kenwood retailer years ago & at least once a month a chav with a kenwood brochure would come in & ask about the price how, long to order etc. (thinking it would only cost £50 & they could put it in the back of their Mk3 escort in order to pull chavettes :nono:  )

they were soon put off by the price & it was for home use only.... :D

they used to make one in the shape of a snail shell too IIRC.... :lesson:

Snail Shell is actualy a form of folded horn design, IIRC the idea has been around for about 60 years.

Some people have used *very* large versions them in vehicles but traditional vented and sealed designs are more popular due to ease of design and implementation.

    Mmm! Nice!

    so remind me........

    These guys make blenders too!

Maybe its a left over from a failed blender design.

Horn looks just the right height for young kids to store things in.
(just like the early Bose bass systems!!!)

I'm curious, did they sound any good? I'd guess not, or we'd all have them :rotfl:
