I admit I don't watch this on a regular basis, but have on and off over the years, it's good Saturday night viewing. I'm currently watching the start of the new series and... it's horrible. The change in filming style to that "movie"-like framerate doesn't bother me that much, but all the gore? Never seen it go this OTT before and it all seems very bleak... Anyone else feel the same?

I've stopped watching both Holby City and Casualty, not that I was a particularly regular viewer anyway, as I can't stand the "filmic" effect and wonky camera work they they now use for both of them. There are large threads on the BBC Message Boards and Digital Spy about it. Most people don't seem to like it.

They painted the hospital all dark as well.

It was always poorly written and badly acted
Now it is poorly shot and badly lit as well!
