I know that several ppl here have purchased from JL in order to get covered by a 5 year warranty... Is there any other way to get a longer warranty ?

Is the barclaycard extra warranty year applicable to Plasma screens ?

I have just taken out the extended warranty with Barclaycard for an Hitachi 32PD3000 . I used the on-line form on the Barclaycard website. It took about 3 weeks for them to send the certificate.

Others have reported that Barclaycard will not accept extended Warranty on Plasmas, but I correctly filled in the form and it was accepted without any query.

The only problem is that cover is limited to a standard £1500.

Your other option is the new NEC panel, the VP4 Ask your dealer for a 3 yr warranty package, it's about £150 which seems like a deal to me!

PS great panel too! Good blacks, sharp, lots of usable inputs.
