I don't have any Home Automation at the moment but I want something where I can control my light switches and boiler/underfloor thermostat with one single system.
I don't want to buy multiple hubs to control the lights and heating. I'd like just one hub (or none at all).
And I want the ability to control it remotely when away from home.
I prefer something on Homekit since I'm on iOS. That way, I can control it with voice when at home.

I also heard that wifi is slower and uses more power, so any other protocol may be better!

I've checked Lightwave and it seems to fit the bill, but their thermostat seems bland.

  • Single Hub
  • Remote Control From Anywhere
  • Ideally Homekit for Voice Control
  • Nice looking thermostat for heating & underfloor
  • Better than wifi (if available)
Are there any other options which can satisfy all my needs?

I haven't set a budget yet but I calculated that if I were to buy the switches and hub and thermostat from Lightwave, it would cost me £817.46

So I figure anything less than that would be welcome.

In the meantime, I'll have a look at the 3 mentioned above to see if they can provide the light switches and thermostat I need.

Thanks,

JH

All 3 will be beyond your budget. Have a look at Fibaro HomeCentre 3

Do I need to buy new light switches and new thermostat for it to work with Fibaro Home Centre 3?
