looking for a sub to be used with films and music
budget around £500 / £600

What is your current kit list?
Room size?
Do you have flexibility of placement for the sub?
Does it need to have a specific look/finish, or not important?

kit list is as follows
av amp:
yamaha rx-v673

speakers 5.0:
front
tannoy dc6t
centre and surround
tannoy dc6 lcr

yes there are a couple of placement options for the sub in the room,
could go at the front by the tv, to the side or the back of the room.

no the look / finish is not important
dark colour or black would be best

Just had a quick look at the photos of your room in a previous thread. It looks like its a bedroom, correct?
Doesn't look a huge room, unless the photos are deceiving....

its more of a compact cinema room with a bed as seating

space at the front: centre would have to sit on top
40" h x 50" d x 60" w

space to side:
50" h 50" d 55" w

space at back
35" x 65" x 55"

there is also space under the bed

You could go for a "matching" Tannoy sub:
Sub Woofers Tannoy REVOLUTION SUB1001 | hifix.co.uk
or..
Sub Woofers Tannoy TS2.10 | hifix.co.uk

but you will probably get more bang for your buck with something from BK:
Gemini
or..
XLS200

You won't need a massive sub in that room and you are going to most likely have some challenges with placement.
I would say go with something cheaper than your full budget and add an Antimode to sort out any room issues:
Anti Mode 8033-1

BK subs have a lot of support on the forum. Great value for money. Most of the Bk sub's have a very good choice of finish.
