    HELP!!!!

I,ve recently ventured into Home Cinema and bought a Yamaha A5 and a wharfedale 750 DVD player and I am currently running them with a pair of MS10's that are at least 10 years old!!
So I would like to upgrade but I have certain rules to abide by imposed by my better-half!! The front and rear speakers must be fairly small (invisible to the female eye), but also sound great with music as well as film (50:50),the budget is fairly low (no Bose Lifestyle here!!), and the sub must be active (my choice as I can hide the sub any where!!).
    What should I get???!!

    Any help would be appreciated,
    David

We mate has a set of B&W 601's (front and rear) and CC6 center with his DSP A5.

    Sounds pretty good.

    Fernandez,

Good luck on the invisible to the female eye approach. In my opinion it won't work.
Instead go for a stylish look. You won't be able to hide a good speaker, so why not make it look good?

To beat the female, you must think like the female.
    What does she want?
She wants things to be nice.
    So you do nice.
Go to a dealer and demo nice looking but good sounding gear!
Make a shortlist of gear you know you'd like and she'd love (to look at), then let her pick. you can't lose.
Play a film you absolutely Know! she likes and let her become one with the film.
Then, and only then, will you achieve bliss and harmony on two fronts; one with your female, and two you get what you want with the equipment. [IMG]

Check out the B&W LM1's for front and rear, they are available in several colours, they go on a shelf the wall or the ceiling and look differant to conventional speaker's, I cant say how good they sound, I have'nt heard them going yet but an active sub should help them along, I am contemplating them as surround's to replace my tannoy 631's, which are a bit big and ugly. http://www2.bwspeakers.com/products/gallery/product_details.cfm?speaker_id=419DC00D-EF4D-11D3-B01E0000E20E7DA6

    good luck
