    Hi

How about a Paradigm PS1000 subwoofer - 150 quid from Richer Sounds with Kef Cresta 1 as fronts and rears, again from RS. All for around 300 quid including the sub.

    cheers

sorry mart, looks like they have got rid of it. It was a ex-display 6 pack of missions inc sub for 130quid but i did notice over at RS when i was looking round they had some nice mission packages for under 300 notes new that are suposed to be quite rated, just look for packages under the speakers menu

    http://www.richersounds.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?load=frame

sorry i didnt post it ealier, i could have quite gone for it my self

    cheers

Hi martin i dont know if your interested in second hand but i have MISSION 733I'S FRONTS (these are in lightoak and sandfilled floor standers and share the same silk tweeter as current models) MISSION 731I'S REARS (also in light oak with mission wall brackets ) MISSION 70C ( center in black) PARADIGM CC150 (center ) all you need for 6.1 obviously without sub but bass is good. I live in East London and they can be demoed. all mint condition and yours for £275.

Depends what type of speakers you want, but the Wharfedale Diamond Screen3 package is only £262 at www.qed-uk.com

Flooratnding fronts, but no subwoofer though!

As someone posted earlier, Richer Sounds always have something on offer too!

cheers guys for some great insight into the speaker world
    just one more question ??
how do the mission's rate against Wharfedale Diamond
and do the connections on my amp have to match the speaker connection or do most speakers have an "adaptable" connection

    cheers

As far as i know thier are 2 main types of connection either push lever or bindinding posts (the scew type one on most decent gear), so you shouldnt have problems mathing anything up, the speaker markets your oyster:D

    cheers

thanks for the idea, just a couple of questions as i never thought about the second hand market

ive tried looking on the mission website and could nt find
MISSION 731I'S REARS on the website, do you recognise anything on the website which might be similar..just need evidence to convince the mrs on how much space im taking up!!!

also how old are they ?
do they have the orginal boxes ?
and is £275 a " or nearest offer " price

    cheers
