    Hi

I have a set of 5.1 speakers with a built in amp that I want to rig up to a DVD player. I'll copy and paste the spec below:
    (excellent sound by the way)

The HT 510 system is a six-channel surround-sound system with integrated amplifier and sub-woofer. It has everything you need to experience cinematic sound effects at home from your DVD player. The power output of 120W RMS is enough to fill most homes.
Real 5.1 Channel Surround-sound Hi-Fi amplifier and speakers
    Remote control (with batteries) included
    120W Audio Power (RMS)
Compatible with CD/DVD player, TV set-top-box or any device having 6 or 2 channel analogue audio output.
4 separate inputs (one for 5.1 & three for stereo), with front panel buttons for selection of input.
Includes prepared cables for all speakers
Separate volume controls for centre and surround (rear) speakers

The connections on the back for 5.1 are either a 9-pin DIN, or 6 phono connectors.

If I want to get 5.1 sound out of a DVD player onto the speakers what DVD players would be suitable?

I am interested in either the Toshiba SD220E or the Sony DVP-NS405.

Any help or advice very much appreciated

Well, the Toshiba 220 hasn't got any of those 5.1 outputs
so thats out of the question.
I don't know about the Sony though.
