what souncard should i get???

    i have a hp media centre and need a soundcard that can either output via coax or f.optic - what one should i get to get the best dd/dts sound - thanks for your help

    If you use the SPDIF output of a soundcard you will need to connect that to an off board processor/amp for decoding the DD/DTS material. As long as you knew that it really depends on the quality you require and the rest of your off board kit. Low/mid price performance would be the Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS (platinium etc.), top spec would be the RME HDSP9632.....

    I haven't found a better card than the RME at anything like sensible money, but you have really got to want it at £300+........
