What sort of cable do I need

    to connect sound from PC to AMP

    I have a new PC and it offers analouge sound out as norm but also has a SP/DIF ( or similar spelt ) socket - is this digital ? hows it used ?

    I belive to use the SPDIF on an SbLive! etc you'd need a 3.5mm to phono adaptor then a coax cable to connect to your amp :)

    CodeThief is right - any line/phono cable will work. However, (sorry if this is obvious) your amplifier must have a digital input. Incidentally you can connect all your devices this way - CD/DVD players/satellite boxes, if your devices support it. It is generally better quality than using analogue connections.
