I curently have a 42" samsung :thumbsdow in my living room. The distance from my sofa to screen is about 2.5 to 3 meters. I am going to upgrade to the hd panny in sept (ready for sky hd) and move the samsung to the bedroom. Is a 42" too big for this viewing distance or will the panny look good?

HD screen will be really peachy at that distance, I use a PHD7 at 2.9m from my face, it's close to ideal.

I already have a 50" Panny pw5 and have the same room dimensions as yours - its bleedin wicked so dont worry youll see more than a 42" and its more cinematic at that size too! got for it!!!

My viewing distance is about 9 feet, and I have a Pioneer 505XDE.

After having had it for about 5 weeks now, it seems to be the same size as my previous screen which was a Hitachi 42PD3000  :smashin: ;)
