NOT AMAZON.

You pay an extra £9 for random despatch when they find it convenient, and then 2 day delivery at the time of CityLinks choosing. And AMAZON refuse to refund the fee.

Carphonewarehouse are good for next day but not for video games.
You might find some games in actual shops. Virgin in Liverpool had loads of Zelda and a couple of others last week.

Edit: Reminds me I've got to go to Asda, apparently if there's stock they are £35.

Amazon were great with the Wii's I ordered AND refunded the Express Delivery postage, keep trying them until you speak to a nice person (Usually the Americans in my experience!) :smashin:

I've tried 3 times now, ok only once by phone.
The first email illicited a 'we reserve the right to promise express delivery for goods we don't have and send them quite quickly some time in the future' response which did not even match the issue.
The item was in stock.
I actually thought they were reasonably good at a very busy time of year with quite an usual peak, but I would suggest that they do not promise next day delivery with City Link.

I got Zelda out of Asda in Motherwell on Friday :)

If you complain to Amazon strongly enough they will refund the shipping fee. They refunded my express shipping fee after I moaned about an order not being sent out for the "guaranteed" next day delivery. I was polite but reasonably firm when I called them (well filled in the form and they called me) to complain. The person I spoke to was as helpful as they could be but there wasn't anything they could do other than apologise and offer the refund.

I am just hgaving chaos with everything at moment due to Xmas Mail

Card from friends in Wales took 6 days on First Class Stamp, Game from Powerplaydirect was shipped last Tuesday and still isn't here. Choices sent a game on Friday and it finally arrived today. Wii Play from Play3k shipping on Monday and still not here. I think I live in a blackhole of Royal Mail at the moment

Most places get mine to me next day... the Mail is clogged full of people with their darn Xmas Cards thought at the moment it seems.

I have found that, items sent first class recorded seem to be doing better at getting to me. So if you know someone who does recorded from a UK mainland address you would be best using them.

I agree, anything 1st class recorded no problem, even today.
Anything 'normal' recorded that would normally arrive in 1 - 2 days is taking 3 at the moment, well I hope so I'm waiting for more stuff tomorrow.:)

Shopto.net (http://www.shopto.net/) are supposed to be pretty good.

All orders placed before 5.30pm are sent the same day by 1st Class Recorded delivery.

I've just placed my first order with them this evening - Zelda Twilight Princess for £32.99 :smashin:

Usually they do, but 2 games were sent out to me early yesterday morning (I tried to cancel at 09:30 but was assured they were already gone) and they weren't delivered today.

Sorry, slightly off-topic. But I cancelled two separate orders through Gameplay and then two days later they were both despatched and I now have to return to get my refund.

Slow system or a bit cheeky? Won't be using Gameplay again.
