What should you consider for new PJ HC installations?

    Hi folks,

When installing a projector-based home cinema system in a new house, what considerations should be top of the list?

I'm crossing my fingers that I may be allowed to install a projector and screen in the living room of our new gaff. I'd just like to know, from you experienced peeps here, if I should run all sorts of A/V and surround sound cables under the (wood) floor before laying it? Or can/should the wiring be tucked behind skirting after the floor is layed and all equipment moved in? I don't really want to end up with numerous A/V cables tacked above the skirting, from the DVD player in the corner to a bookshelf on the other side of the room, and all corners for the surround sound!

Would it help you to make suggestions if I told you about the equipment (DVD player etc) I intend to use (in terms of inputs/outputs and therefore cabling required)?

Any helpful suggestions for forward-planning would be gratefully received!

    Cheers,
    Dave.
