    HI,
Im looking to buy an LCD around 20" which will be hooked up to a SKY box.
There are a lot of options out there and I dont want to waste my money.
When looking for LCD's on line what specs should I look for and what do they mean. I can then go and look at them in the shops to see if the difference really shows.
    Thanks in advance.

To be honest I wouldn't rely too much on published specs as they're not all they're cracked up to be. For example, you'll ususally find the contrast ratio being quoted where the higher the number the better, e.g. 1000:1 is better than 500:1 - problem is that different manufaturers use different methods to measure this.

If you're going to be using the screen as a PC monitor then go for a higher resolution.

Try to get a look at as many as you can - try to avoid places like DIxons and Currys as they are often being fed a crap signal and pic the one that looks the best to you.
