I have just set up (sort of) my D50. Am pleased with the results  , but have read in the past about how easy it is to destroy lenses and to overdrive?? them.

What do I need to double-check?

    Thanks
    Andy

Tune the contrast right down and look into the tube check to see that the image is close but not touching the edges of the tube.

If the projector is turned up to high you will know it. the whites will loose deatail and the blacks won't be black. Get a copy of Video Essentials which takes you through all the ways to set up your projector and sound system.
