    Dear all

I am really looking forward to entering the world of home cinema buy purchasing a large TV.

After much deliberation, I consider the following characteristics important for me:

    -Excellent picture quality
    -Widescreen format
    -No smaller than say 48"
    -3 SCARTS (minimum)
    -Variable 100Hz and 50Hz modes
-2 Tuners (so I can see 2 channels at once)
-Sound not important as I plan to use external additional speakers/amp

I have a budget of around £3,500 (but the lower the better).

What sets should I consider? I haven't come across any that meet all my requirements. The closest was an HITATCHI C55WP910TN @ £2899.99, but it doesn't have 2 tuners.

Any suggests for what I should look at, or where I should look - online/offline?

The SONY KF-50SX100 looks good from what I've seen with my eyes (despite some negative coverage in these pages) but at £4,865.95 excluding the stand - I wouldn't have any cash for a DVD, amp or speakers!

*All* help is greatly appreciated. :)

    Regards

    Gareth

Check out Toshiba's WHO8B 46" and 56" models and their successors, you will be pleasantly surprised. They come with component inputs which is an essential feature for DVD and matt screens which prevents ambient light reflections. Try Sound & Vision, Bolton for best prices.

    Thanks Delta

How can I tell if the models you mention have the two tuners so as to support PAP & PIP etc... This feature is essential for me.

    Thanks, John.

A PIP box? Sounds very interesting. I can't figure out where to find it though on Keene's site. Very technical.

What category is it under? Any idea where I can find out more about PIP boxes?

    Cheers

    Gareth
