Anywhere between 5 to 9 feet wide I'd say, but as already said, depends on projector.

... and how far you are sitting from the screen.

If you are sitting only 10 ft away, you probably don't want a 10ft wide screen.

A 5 or 6 ft wide screen would give you (the usual recommended)between 1.5 and 2 times screen width viewing distance. Plenty of projectors will give you that.

One thing I have learnt in the last few weeks - there is a lot of maths involved in this hobby :)

For the Domino 20, I'd not sit any closer than 1.8 times screen width. So for a 6ft wide image, around 10.8 ft will be a minimum. Any closer, and screendoor will start to become apparent.

Here's a blown up picture what screen door is. Normally it's pretty small, you have to go close to the screen to see screendoor- however lower rez. LCD PJ's will have bigger gaps between pixels, therefore possible you can see the screendoor from your viewing position.

    Cheers Nathan.
I am actually considering the Sanyo PLV-Z1 myself with a 7' screen. My vewing distance is 13' away, is this a reaonable size screen under these conditions?

I have a Z1 and view from 1.8x the screen width. I reckon that is OK but wouldn't want to be much closer. Based on that, I reckon you should be fine with 7' screen from 13'. Best thing is to try it out first to make sure that screendoor at that multiple does not bother you.

    HTH,
