I am looking for a good quality scart lead to connect my sony freeview box to my 51WH36 51" Toshiba RPTV. What ones are good and what ones should I avoid? - Monster?

yes and the price is pretty good it is a £40 RRP
Very good lead IMHO
Best scart i've ever used is the Van Den Hul THESCART
RRP £135 but i've seen good offers about on this one!

retail price for QED Sqart AV2110 is £49.99 and a huge number of dealers online and otherwise offer QED.

i bought a £40 Ixos scart lead to replace the freebie i got with my freeview box which i was using to connect my dvd player to my tosh 32zp38. i have to say that i saw no difference at all in picture quality. i am willing to admit that i am ridiculously and unreasonably picky when it comes to picture quality, which is why i spent so much cash on the Ixos in the first place. i really study the picture and want to get the highest quality i can.

i'm therefore going for a set of component leads instead of scart. however, if you DO have to go the scart route my advice would be to ignore most of the advice coming from the 'experts' on this issue and never pay more for than about £12 for a SCART cable. unless your prime motive for doing so is getting a cable which is a bit heavier than the cheap ones.

i'm all for build quality, but not when it makes no difference to the performance.

You should have tried one of our high quality scart leads, I've never had a disatisfied customer and you would have saved about £34.

Andy.
