I still don't regeret choosing the 601's as my front speakes so I now need some rears to compliment. I would very much like to stick with B&W but to buy their package which sticks my 601's on the back is ludicrous! A waste of a decent front speaker and overkill for the size of room.

Does anyone have an opinion on the VM1 or LM1 as rear? The VM1's colour scheme and style would work and the LM1's size would too.

Check out http://www.bwspeakers.com/ to see what I mean.

A pair of Mint 601s just went on Ebay for £84, I just sold an as new pair myself for similar money.

I can't see the point of saving £20 or so on a lesser speaker. I'd keep checking the auctions/ads.

I'll 2nd the suggestion of the 600 S3. A very good compact wall mounted speaker. Well worth it's £200 price tag.
