OK I have had Wipeout Pure for other a week now and even though it is still great fun its quite boring only having a single game to choose from so could anyone recommend what my next PSP Game purchase should be?

I thought about Twisted Metal but I dont have a wireless router so is this game any fun when you are restricted to just the AI?

I also thought about THUG2 but when I played Tony Hawk 3 on the PS2 I always used the thumb stick but my hands are too big for the PSP so I cant use the thumb stick that well, is THUG2 still as easy to play with the D-Pad?

    Hey,

How about Mario Kart or maybe Sonic The Hedgehog, or Space Invaders.

Get Ape Escape or Everybodys Golf. Ridge Racers is great but you have one driving game so try add a bit of varity in your games :).

Already have Ridge Racers, got it with my JPN PSP back in January but havent played it for well over a month now and as you say I could do with a different type of game, seems alot of people are waiting for Tiger Woods to come instock in the UK so may give it a shot and order it from Movietyme.

Have to say I've ordered Ridge Racer, Wipeout, Lumines and Spiderman 2.

Lumines and Spidey SHOULD arrive tomorrow from CD-WOW. Spidey IMO looks like a cracking game.

I've played Lumines and it's pretty addictive. Play it with some decent headphones and it can become very immersive!

Lumines arrived at my door yesterday and it is awesome!

When I was wee and the Gameboy came out I loved Tetris but have never been into puzzle games since. I bought this as I though, go retro with your new handheld and get a puzzle game.

    Wow.

I got in from the pub last night and thought I would give it a blast, I was on it till 1:30. Tired today though....

Those are the exact same 4 games I ordered. Been playing RR loads since my PSP turned up Tues. Found Rage Racer on the PS1 really addictive and this is the same. Maybe not as good as Wipeout but easier to play. Got Spiderman 2 yesterday and Lumines/Wipeout Pure today. After a few games of Lumines I can see this being seriously addictive. Haven't had a chance to play Wipeout much but it looks and sounds amazing. As I have never really played a Wipeout game much, this is like a new franchise. Have always owned Nintendo consoles in the past so never had a PS1/PS2. Though I can see myself getting a PS3 this time, (as well as Revolution obviously). Quite like to get an XBox 2 as well really.....

I am thinkng of buying Midnight Club 3, I know it is another driving game but it looks good and for around £25 from videogame+ it is very tempting :).
I thought about getting Tiger Woods also especially as I am enjoying Everybodys Golf.
I am tempted to buy a fair few games now actually because now that it is out in the US there are a few sites selling the games around the £25-30 mark.

Lumines is a must for the PSP. Normally I dont like Puzzle games as I have just had consoles rather than handhelds, but on the PSP a puzzle game is perfect.

Been addicted to this for the last week, you will be playing it for a good hour before you realise time has moved on. Just sat here solid for 50 mins without looking up or anything.

Lots to keep you going as the skins change the pace of play, and with puzzle mode, CPU Battle and 2 player its great.

Lumines is excellent - part Rez, part Tetris and part make-your-own-music. Very addicttive and very playable.

Just finished Metal Gear: Ac!d. It;s not going to be to everyones taste, but as a turn-based card game i think its very decent, captures all the feelings of a MGS game, and can be rewarding when you dig deeper into the card combo tactics. Since its not realtime i find it good when i only want to give part of my attention to a game, like say half-watching TV, whereas Lumines can suck me in so deep i dont notice the girlfriend tapping my shoulder.

I have ended up buying 4 games from a UK seller on eBay which are...

    Ridge Racer
    Darkstalker Chronicles
    Metal Gear Acid
    Lumines

All are brand new, sealed US versions and I got each for £26 which isnt too bad, I know I could have got them for that price from elsewhere but as these are already inside the UK I wont have to wait 5+ days like I would if I ordered from Movietyme or VG+

I went for: Wipeout Pure, Need for speed Underground Rivals, Ridge Racers, Tony Hawks Underground 2 remixed and Tiger woods. All of which I would recommend. Need for speed is probably my favourite. Once you get into it you really notice the difference in the way the car drives when you modify it. Also its pretty addictive beefing up the look of your car if that kind of think floats your boat. Then I would go for Tiger.

I recieved 3 of the 4 games on Friday, havent had a chance to play any of them yet but hopefully will over the next few days.
I was a little confused as to why I only recieved 3 games when I paid for all 4 to be posted together, turns out the eBay seller didnt have stock of Darkstalkers and was going to send it sometime this week so I asked if I could swap for another game and instead of Darkstalkers he is now going to send me Tony Hawks Underground 2 Remix

I thought THUG2 was a launch title in the US?
Either way it is out, plenty of people/companies selling it and at £26 I thought I got a pretty good deal, really good of the seller to let me exchange it as THUG2 usually sells for alot more than Darkstalkers.

They'll probably all be available as soon as someone ports MAME and other emulators to the PSP. :smashin:

    Hopefully never - poor film.
