Hi Guys,

I have the NEC HT1100 & while with the DVI input it gives pretty good pictures on DVD & is ok with Cable TV on my 10 foot screen, i'm sure i can do better on a reasonable budget.

Any suggestions on what would be a cost effective upgrade ? i've got the Screenplay 7205 in mind courtesy of it's price reduction - any insight into how good this projector is ?

Thanks,
Keith.

Hey,

Having had the NEC HT1000 for a short while and having the fortune to demo the 7200 at home, the earlier version of the 7205, I can honestly say that the NEC was the better PJ for picture, options et al. However, the 7200 was brighter. The NEC had better black level out of the box and a smoother picture. Plus points for the infocus would be the 16:9 panel and the brightness.

Take a look at the Optoma H77 too.

As always a demo would be worthwile.

Hope this helps,

Cap.
