what phone can store more?.

hi there, i am o2 unlimited text and looking for a phone which can store many messages rather than deleting/backing them up too often like it feels i am.

im using a sony ericsson k800i which is pretty good storing over 7/900 inbox/sent messages.


is there a better phone what can store even more out there?

Is there an option in the phones settings to alternate between the built in storage and the memory card? The K800i has an internal storage of 68MB but it also supports a memory stick of up to 16gb. If you can set the memory stick to be the storage method for messages then you'll have plenty of space. Unless there is an actual cap on the number allowed.

On my HTC Desire under the stock Messaging app there is an option to set text limits per conversation(i.e between two people or group).It sits at 200 by default,i have just upped it to 1000 and it appears to work as the setting has taken.Additionally there is an option to Delete old messages as you reach the limit and this can be disabled so theoretically you can get as many as your memory holds.
Not sure if this is a standard feature of android or a 2.2 setting.
