It doesn't seem to have been asked so whad'ya get and was it any good?

    Heres mine:

Any Given Sunday r2 - different to what i expected but good

    Jungle Book r1 - haven't watched yet

The Haunting r1 - i know it was panned but i like it. It could have had more extras considering it is a signature edition. One of the best Home Cinema trailers though - check out the teaser and 'whack it up!'

EdTv r1 - superb movie, great extras and includes Bon Jovi video. Woohoo!

1941 r1 - haven't watched it yet though i have the film on vid and dvd is half hour longer. Plus my friend says the extras are cool.

Notting Hill r1 - best British movie (yes i know it was backed by Universal) up there with Chicken Run (yes i know it was backed by DreamWorks)

Pitch Black Unrated r1 - excellent! Starts good, goes all Stargate for 20 minutes then gets better.

    Your turn...

I bought myself (the Missus doesn't dabble in the black art of DVD):

Godzilla 2000 (was it really made in 2000? Looks like the 1970s!)

Hollow Man (arrived late and won't f00king play on my player)

This is Spinal Tap (R2) - coz I've never seen it before.

Hopefully Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will be here by the end of the week.

Just ordered The Haunting, dts ES edition. Looking forward to this as it's often said to sound fantastic.

EdTV is a fantastic film I thought. I have really enjoyed watching this a few times now, as I have done, Pitch Black.

My Xmas movies consisted only of Blade, The Cell and Seven Platinum Edition as my early December order from DV-Depot has only today (8th Jan) turned up.

Blade is a good film that I enjoyed, but it sounded somewhat subdued, flat even, on my system, albeit it is one that lacks a sub-woofer. The Cell was visually impressive, but a fairly predictable plot that didn't suck me in much. And Seven I commented on another thread is the best release I've yet bought. Utterly fantastically put together.

    Hi,

Well, I've treated myself to various items:
    - Chicken Run Cd soundtrack (very funky sounding!)
    - Princess Mononoke R1 DVD (Anime)
    - Manhunter 2-DVD Set (due for release on R1 on 13th Feb)
    - Legend 2-DVD Set (should be out anyday now on R1!)

I know a lot of people don't like "Legend", but I still think that it holds up pretty well, and is a very dark kids film, that looks awesome, and I adore the Tangerine Dream soundtrack. So the DTS versions are going to sound stunning!!!
