so i wondered what did you throw on?

it might be black hawk down or saving private ryan.(got a war thing going on at the mo!)

your input would be very welcome.

The first full movie I watched was the Matrix.

However before I got to that point I watched bits of Gladiator, Fifth Element, Monsters Inc and quite a few others that I knew would have the big screen wow.

I just picked my favourite scenes and sat there going OH! and AHH! and generally feeling better about spending lots of cash!

    Enjoy!

    Cheers
    Marc

An episode from the Band of brothers box set! If you into the war theme then this is the best you can get!!

Star Wars Ep II is a pretty good way for your PJ to lose its virginity also.........

Monsters Inc and then FOTR. Oh and Eastenders on Sky was the first thing we saw. Just to keep the missus happy and prove that the money was well spent.

Gladiator, I still use it as a reference after I've played about with settings. There's so much detail in the costume fabrics........and all those shadow scenes.

Um, a DVD of a concert by the Finnish metal band Nightwish ... I'm sure the neighbours appreciated the music. :D But like others, I'd sampled several sections of FoTR and TTT and Pitch Black.

My first one was The Matrix, the scene where the helicopter smashes into that window just took my breath away! I'm saving FOTR special edition until the weekend before TTT special editon comes out, can't wait :D

    Toy Story 2.

I still use the opening scene as demo material, just to watch people sway along with buzz as he's zipping through the canyon. :smashin:

    Every Given Sunday

Excellent movie that I can still only watch on a projector (or sitting 3" away from a huge plasma). If I get started i'll never shut up but basically if you haven't watched it on your HC yet run out of wherever you are and get yourself down to HMV and buy it there and then. Then watch it twice tonight. Then watch Pulp Fiction.

I think if i remember i took mine with gladiator. Although I have just bought a prog scan dvd player connecting with RGB leads and this is a vast hike in picture quality. that was tested with attack of the clones. :D well you have to don't you...

If you have not yet thought about RGB then I would seriuosly consider, wow.

Twister...with which i was going to christen my DTS amp with in 2001 having purchased a R1 copy in 2000. But my Sharp xvc-20e was too crappy to watch it on.

I hope to get a Panny 300 in the next 3 months or so..and finally get to watch it in glory

Am I the only one who smashed a bottle of bubbly into my new PJ? I assumed that was the "done thing" when christening any new vessel (or in this case, projector).

    :rotfl:

Can't remember now 'twas that long ago. Can't even remember what I first watched on my HS10 (& that was only last December  ). Actually, I can't even remember what I watched last night :( Then again, I was very, very, very drunk.

    :p
