    Hi there

I need to replace the 2 main/front speakers. The rest of my 5.1 set are Mission.
My amplifier is a very capable Sony. All bought around 4 years ago.

I really fancy the Mission 35i but I do have a nice subwoofer :rotfl: ; do you think I could get something cheaper but with the same shape and wow-sound factor??

    Thanks in advance!

You need to make sure that the fronts match the centre speaker - whilst same brand helps towards this there can still be significant sound differences between different series.

The M3 series was a direct replacement for the M7 so if your centre comes from either of those ranges then the M35i would tonally be a good match - the M35i do need a lot of space though

Which Mission centre do you have?

I dont have a center since I had a Sony (retroprojection) which had a center speaker setting and sounded just good.

More to the point I am doing away with the much loved Sony for a Toshiba plasma HD (delivered early next week :rotfl: ). I think I ll need to get a center too!!

The drama is just gone HD, what do u reccomend?

    Thanks

If your sub's good enough, try out the m33i mains and m3c2i centre?

Sorry, I read from your post "The rest of my 5.1 set are Mission" that you already had the rest of the speakers and was just looking to replace the fronts.

If you dont have any others then the M35i make very good speakers if you have the space to give them. The matching centre M3c2i would be the logical and best partner to go with it. The M34i are also very good low priced speakers and dont need quite as much space

With all speakers you should audition them for yourself first to make sure that you like their sound as whilst one member may love them or a mag give them a glowing review not everyone has the same tastes
