    Hi there
I ordered the first season of Lost last week from DVD Import, after reading a lot of very positive reviews.
However I read on my TiVo guide today in the description on Channel 4 that game show , and reality are in among the show description.
I am not happy about this if its true.
Is Lost like survivor or something where there is a prize at the end?
I thought it was more like alias with JJ Abrhams writing for it.
    Thanks

The plot summary from imdb is:-

After a somewhat mysterious sequence of events, an oceanic flight from Sydney to LA crashes on what appears to be a deserted island. The chance of being found and rescued are fairly small, so the survivors have to cope with a set of challenges. They have to learn to survive on the island, a mysterious place with enough dangers on it's own. Also, they have to learn to live with each other if any success is to be expected. And finally, they have to live with themselves and their pasts. Interwoven with the events on the islands are flashbacks to the pasts of some 10 main characters. Step by step, we learn a little more about their diverse and unexpected pasts as the group's quest to survive takes shape.

and is the most irritating/annoying character on the show.

Cool characters are Lock and the chubby Hawaiian.

Great show. Just finished watching the first season. Cant wait till the next one! Anyone know when it starts? September or October?
    (US).

It totaly leaves you hanging, but it sort of has a "Island of Dr Merau" (Spelling?) feel to it. With the french chick an all!

I would describe Lost as mix of Cast Away and X-Files,with a bit of PREDATOR thrown in.

Starts on C4 sometime this month.

I have been watching it for several months now on Network2 (Irish TV) and its a good show - have my own thoughts about how its going to end.

One thing I did notice regarding the Chubby guy - considering they are stranded on a desert island he hasn't lost much weight. He must be eating the dead !!

    :hiya: SOK

I was thinking the same thing, he hasn't lost any weight at all. If they ran out of food he would make a good BBQ.

i loved this show, although it did peter out a bit towards the end before kicking back in for the finale, which i expect they did on purpose to make the finale all the more riveting. I was a bit disappointed that it ended where it did, but i've read the second season picks up 35 seconds after season 1 finished, so its pretty much just one big 50 odd episode long season, which i don't mind at all :)
