So got thinking today what jobs wouldn't I do for a £1 million salary and I struggled to come up with many.

So what jobs wouldn't my fellow non millionaire AVF'ers do for a cool £1 million a year? Criteria is the job has to be legal & recognised occupation and you would have to do it for at least three years.

I'll kick off with adult film star, I can't see me getting sign off from the wife for that one!

Mods please close if this has been done before but I couldn't find a thread.

Nurse in a childrens hospice. I simply couldn't do it for any amount. The ones who do are far more special people than I could ever be.

If we can include historical jobs, then garderobe cleaner has got to be right up there.

In my youth, I temped as part of a Southern Water waste water treatment site maintenance crew for £5.50 an hour...

There are plenty of jobs I shouldn't do but for a mill, I'd give most things a go.

I have absolute respect for what they do but seeing the abuse those guys (and girls) get, there is no amount of money you could pay me to do that job.

I could stick any job for a year or 2 then retire with a few million in the bank.

A salesman. I couldn't live with myself knowing I was selling crap to people who don't really need it or who can barely afford it in the first place. It would be the equivalent of selling my soul to the devil.

Oh, I am talking about the type of salesman that approaches people who didn't invite it. Not those that work in retail shops and the like.

    Casualty assistance officer.

I've seen what it has done to a close friend of mine who has had to do this for the past two years, he's been spat on, punched, kicked, swore at & always stood fast.

It nearly destroyed him as a human being & turned him into a wreck.

    Awful awful job.

Wouldn't much fancy being an abortion doctor, i support other peoples right to do what they want with their bodies. But i've never really been comfortable with it. Defo wouldn't fancy actually doing the procedure, in some ways the money would make it worse.

Run a tobacco company. I've seen the raw data about what it does to people before it has to be massaged so the company lawyers don't bury you in legal BS.

Surely you'd just take anything on. If you really didn't like it you could always outsource it to some Polish guy for £100k.

    Cheers,

That's another thread altogether, quite a tricky one to answer too especially if you put criteria like it has to be a full time job. Otherwise I'd just be the only paperboy that goes door to door in a Veyron.

Not legal last time I checked :)

I'm struggling to think of any really...as most jobs like abboitor, sewage workers etc - whilst ghastly aren't really paid a great deal..?

then what about some horrific skilled jobs, ones that take years to qualify for? dentist, surgeon etc...

The guy a few managers above me is on £3m per year - so I wouldn't do his job for £1m - I'd demand the full 3 :)

A while back over a few beers a similar question came up and that was my answer.

I wasn't put on this earth to be shouted at and abused whilst training, and then forced to go and kill someone. If I have to kill a person I want it to be my choice, not someone else's.
