Hi all I just purchased a xgimi mogo Pro+. It is a portable but native 1080p projector and I did some research before purchasing to confirm it was a real 1080p. The reviews say it has crisp sharp true 1080p but this is the bit I am confused about.

I am getting some wierd vertical lines on my image which I cannot explain but it is definitely making the 1080p videos look wierd.

Here are some examples.

If you load these images you'll see all of them have vertical lines on them. It basically makes the image a bit wierd and "dull". Is anyone able to pls explain what this is and how to fix it pls?

Many thanks

Think the phenomena are called vertical color banding, and it may be a result of the use of keystone correction where the picture is differently scaled on the projector imager to correct the picture distortion on the screen.

The sharpest picture will be when no keystone correction is needed and the projector gets 1:1 pixel mapping between the 1920x1080 sours signal and the native full HD imager.

Thanks for the response. I did have a bit of keystone correct so I turned it off and it did improve but was still there. Result is that 1080p videos somewhat look a little bit damp. Hard to explain. Just not crisp enough
