    Hi all

Please can you help. I need a lead which has the above connectors at BOTH ends. What is this cable called?
And what's the name of this connection?

I've attached a pic of the connection.

    Cheers,
    Shaz

Toslink cable is just a fibreoptic cable for digital audio signals.
You'll find them at any good AV store. You should also be able to pick up cheaper ones from the likes of Dixons and Comet etc...

Some people prefer this link over a phono cable for their digital audio. I prefer the phono cable option myself.

yeah very smart, very wise... Very funny indeed, u're so humorous. i'm blasting my pants off with laughter!

i need it for my xbox.... I've got the wrong lead at home,... the one i have has a square connector at one end and a pin like connector on the other hand.

I prefer electric coax myself BUT some source don't have this eg minidisk and in this case Xbox.

    so what is it?

Now I´ve got my sensible head back on.

As alanrob says the cable you need is a Toslink cable available from most cable suppliers normally in 1M lengths.

Originally designed by Toshiba hence the Tos part of the name.

Have a look at these suppliers

    www.qed.co.uk

    www.chord.co.uk

I prefer the Digital Coaxial cable myself but also use the Toslink Optical cable as well.

    cheers
