What is this connection for?

Hi all,

on the back on my sony dvp ns30 DVD player, as well as the scart sockets, there are 4 roung connections. One says coaxil, then right and left audio, then video. They're coloured orange, red, yellow and white respectively. The are all marked digital.

I guess they're for surround (the audio ones), but what are the others? What type of video is it, and will it be better than scart?

thanks,

gubar.

Red and White = Stereo phono out
Yellow = Composite video (Rubbish)
Orange = Digital audio out to AV amp
