This is going to sound like I am doing this on the cheap, but it's more to do with not going over the top.
I have a Quad 99/909 and MA GS20 set up already. Thanks to advice on this forum I intend to get an AV amp with pre-outs to allow me to power the GS20s using the 909 and leave the AV amp to deal with the other speakers. I currently looking for a matching centre and am close to deciding on MA RS1/RS5 rears. My question is, how much amplifier do I need for this lot? My room is not huge (5m x 4m at the widest points). I'm looking at second hand amps that were last year's model. Things like the Sony 2400ES which has 100w per channel seems sufficient although I am aware that the GS range is compatible with far more expensive electronics.
Just for info, I am on a budget (£7-800ish) which will get hammered by a second hand GSLCR so I'm after practical advice rather than pure audiophile advice, if you know what I mean.
Thanks.
