    8 will accept 720p and 1080i @ 50 Hz with DVI or HDMI card. 7 didn't.

If not Sky HD then no. No fans in the PWDs but there is in the PHD8.

So basically, I only need to go for the PWD8 if I had or wanted sky HD.... there is quite a difference between the 2 screens pricewise....£1199 for PWD8 and £899 for PWD7... better off with the 7, then I can use the difference for some JStech boxes... sound ok ?

Should also have said the 7 doesn't accept component over the VGA port. Important if you are thinking of using a JS Tech RGB to YUV converter.

Not just sky HD more importantly Ps3, HD-DVD and Blu-ray will potentially all require 50Hz HD digital (DVi or HDMI inputs) and that just what we know about PWD8 is now £1080 delivered from AV-sales!
