    Hi

I'm looking for a Who album where Roger Daltry has recorded classics like 'My Generation' in his older voice if you know what I mean

I prefer his older voice like when he sang 'You better you bet' when his voice is more gruffer. Not his younger voice

    Thanks

Not sure if it fits your criteria but "Who's Next" is a no brainer IMHO

I agree with this. Tho' to answer yer q. on early music I don't think the Who ever did any "cover" versions of their old songs... Roger Daltry had some probs a few years ago hitting those "generation" lyrics with the same aplomb he did years ago.

:hiya: Quadrophenia is easily the best Who album for me.
"Meaty beaty big and bouncy" is an excellent Who album. I think it is a collection of singles from 1965 to 1970. Sounds like this may be what you are after. Name says it all really.

    For me:-

    1) Who's Next
    2) Tommy
    3) By Numbers
    4) Sell Out
    5) Who are you

However, I think he's looking for, possibly a live album, that's been recorded in the 80's onwards.

I've only got "Who's Better Who's Best" (The Greatest Hits), which does me fine :)

MBB&B is an interesting album to have as it has some different versions/mix's and as far as I am aware, the only place to get the orginal version of Substitute
