What is the best solution

I would really appreciate some advice as to what is my best solution.

I want a device that I can rip all my DVDs to and then playback via HDMI.

At the moment I don't need to access from multiple locations although eventually it may be nice to have access to the stored content from multiple rooms.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks for the reply.

I was looking to spend up to about £500.

Would you mind advising on pros and cons of the solutions you mention?

for that sort of budget you will struggle.

the idyl is a very nice bit of kit now they have pronto intergration but its prety expensive.

my advice would be ( providing you have knowlage on a pc) build a WHS based solution for storing the dvds, then use media pcs with the mymovies app( My Movies - Home ) to pull files

Qnap 409 II Pro with Popcorn Hour A110 here.

Depending on the disc configuration you should be able to fit it into your budget.
