I am beginner who is just about to start setting up a FLAC file library for my MP3 player. Could someone advise me on what is currently the best ripping software. Freeware would be nice but I don't mind paying for it as long as it is not too expensive and it is worth the cost. Initially I will be ripping most of my CDs, followed by converting selected LPs.

    Thanks

Paid for: DBpowerAMP (there is a free version, but its worth paying for the reference version if you rip a lot of CD's)

    Freeware: EAC + MP3tag

All-in-one solution (including music management): Media Monkey
