I really need to get a new graphics card, i bought my new PC the other day.. its an amazing one with 4 gb of memory, 640 gb hard driver, AMD Phenom X4 9650 Quad-Core processor (2.3GHz, 2MB Cache).
The graphics card i have at the moment is 512MB ATI Radeon HD4350 graphics, i want this graphics card to run the Sims 3 PERFECTLY... so i can have it on the highest settings and change the settings of the card if need be too? I have windows 7 too... so can anyone give me a few good cards to look at that is £100 or slightly less? Can i get an amazing card for that price? There no point of a new computer and everything if i dont have good stuff in it :p Plus i spent £60 on the sims 3 and i dont want to play it on the crappy settings, thanks guys
(P.S will a good graphics card run with my computer yes?)

Ermmmm I’m not really sure, my screen size is 1600 x 900 if that helps? And I realised that I can stretch the price to 130 if need be... if I can get a 2x better card for a little bit more id definitely go for it =) Just worried that it might not run on my computer, but I’m sure it will.
I know nothing about computer gaming etc, I read what’s on these graphics card and well... it doesn’t make sense to me =P

With a budget of £130 I would definitely go for a 5770, available for slightly under your budget so thats a plus point (albeit out of stock at Scan):
Scan.co.uk: 21163-10-20R - 1GB Sapphire HD5770, PCI-E 2.0(x16), 1200MHz GDDR5, GPU 850MHz, Cores 800, 2x DL DVI-I/HDMI

Would be plenty powerful at your resolution and will handle most games with ease :)

Which motherboard do you have mate?

Either an HD5770 or an HD4890 - the 5770 benefits from lower power consumption, Dx11 support, and cooler running, but the 4890 would most likely edge it out in terms of raw performance.

All that can really be recommended from nVidia is something like a second hand GTX260, but it won't be as fast as the HD4890 anyway.

Id say get a 5770 and overclock it, they reach 4890 performance levels:)

Also if you do get it use MSI afterburner for the OC.

Dont wanna be a killjoy but the HD4350 is a lower power consuming card, the req is 300w is think. Check your power supply make and model before slapping in anything more powerful as that may cause even more problems. The 5770/5750 reqs are 450w and these are less hungry than the previous family. Nothing like the smell of burning psu to ruin your day.
